Core Values & Vision

House Church ministries pursue the biblical church.

Our mission is to facilitate the recovery of the biblical church for all the churches in the world. We pursue the form and function of the original church based on the New Testament.

1.  We pursue the recovery of the first century church’s faith community.

We strive to revive structures, activities (Acts 2:42), ministry methods (Acts 2:46-47), and leadership styles (Matthew 20:26-27) of the church in the New Testament.

2.  Our priorities focus on saving the lost over church growth.

We believe that God desires all people to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).

3.  We believe that the goal of the Church is to witness to nonbelievers to make disciples.

Because that is why the Lord established the Church (Matthew 28:19-20).

4.  We use the following disciple training methods:

  • Instead of the knowledge transfer, we focus on cultivating abilities.
  • Instead of classroom education, we focus on practical life experience.
  • Instead of teaching by words, we focus on showing by deeds.

5.  We focus on recovering the original tasks of both pastor and layman.

A pastor focuses on equipping the saints (Ephesians 4:11-12a), praying, preaching (Acts 6:2-4), and being an effective leader (Acts 20:28). A layman, on the other hand, focuses on shepherding the members and establishing the Church (Ephesians 4:12b).

6. We are not cell groups or small groups. We pursue after establishing a biblical New Testament church.

In order to help House Church become a basic New Testament community, we are committed to the following – we meet every week (Acts 20:7); men and women meet together (Romans 16:3-5); and believers and nonbelievers meet together (1 Corinthians 14:23-25).

Our Vision

Recovery of Biblical Church by

  • Biblical division of tasks among pastors and laymen
  • Saving souls with a witnessing lifestyle
  • Making disciples of Jesus with changed lives
  • Reproducing workers and ministers

In so doing, church members will overflow with joy.
